For this mock I used FantasyPros.com (which I was directed to by the fakefootball.com), it is actually quite awesome because it compiles the rankings of all of their experts, so you are essentially drafting against the experts. I drafted at 12.
I usually wait longer to draft a quarterback, but decided to pull the trigger on Ryan in the third. Considering how the rest of the draft turned out I was pleased that I chose him. With Steven Jackson now in the backfield it should create more opportunities in the passing game for Ryan because Jackson will be a threat every down to catch the bal.
There are a lot of questions marks surrounding the Steelers at running back, receiver, and even tight end, but Big Ben has enough weapons in Antonio Brown, and Emmanuel Sanders that he should be almost as good as ever. Despite missing three games last year he was on his way to one of his better season, so he should be able to continue that success.
In two quarterback leagues you draft whoever you can get as a backup QB, and at the pick Smith was the option. Also, I would advise stocking up any QB possible towards the end of the draft picking guys like E.J. Manuel and even Blaine Gabbert.
This year running back is really shallow so getting McFadden and Wilson where I did is great value. McFadden has essentially been a bust, but the Raiders are supposedly reverting back to a power run scheme which McFadden has had success in.
Wilson proved to be exciting in limited work last year, and should be on tap for the lead back role. However, Andre Brown could snag a few touchdowns away, but getting him in the sixth is really good value.
Nothing really needs to be said about Johnson, Green, and Harvin, they are three of the best receivers in the game. Harvin is in a new situation, but having Russell Wilson over Christian Ponder is a bonus.
Lastly, Sanders should be in for his best season yet considering he now gets bumped up to number two receiver.
Daniels has been a go-to-guy for Matt Schaub the past few years, but I actually think Bennett could have just as good of a year. Both are in pretty good situation, and are essentially considered the number two or three options on the team.
DEF: Rams (15)
The Rams defense could be big this year. I envision Robert Quinn, and Chris long both getting 10 plus sacks off the edge, and even though they are lacking definitive safety help at the moment, Cortland Finnegan, and Janoris Jenkins will be playmakers are corner.
K: Lawrence Tynes (16)
Obligatory kicker pick, not much else.
