QB: Joe Flacco
Flacco performed on the biggest of stages, however the offense failed to improve during the offseason while losing key players. Flacco won’t be a bust in the sense that he has a terrible season, but in the fact that he is probably going to get over-drafted.
RB: Stevan Ridley
Right now Ridley is considered a late first, early second pick, but Belicheck is always looking to get other runners involved. Shane Vereen is going to get more involved on passing downs, and could eventually carve out a larger.
RB: Frank Gore
The 49ers now have a running quarterback along with LaMichael James, and a potentially healthy Kendall Hunter that will cut into Gore’s touches. Also, even though Crabtree is now going to be out for at least the majority of the season it is unlikely to have much of an affect of the usage of Gore.
WR: James Jones
The loss of Greg Jennings shouldn’t changes anything for Jones because he was essentially the second or third receiver with Jennings out all year. Regardless, Jones was ridiculous last season with 14 touchdowns. Right now in mock draft Jones is being at about 69th overall ahead of names such as Steve Smith, Danario Alexander, and Josh Gordon just to name a few. The 14 touchdowns won’t happen again especially with a larger role for Randall Cobb on the way.
WR: Eric Decker
Somewhat of an easy choice, Decker could turn into the third wheel in the Broncos offense. However, Manning has had three receivers with 1000 yards. Manning has proven that he can sustain supporting an entire receiving core, but Decker should be the most affected by the arrival of Wes Welker.
TE: Jordan Cameron
Cameron is part of a long lineage of tight ends who are former basketball players, however the only ones to actually succeed at it has been Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez. Cameron could become a favorite target of Weeden, but owners shouldn’t expect much more than 500, which really isn’t that bad.
